Wildboyz are DJ/producer Dion Schenk and producer Zack Dekkaki, in which the two Dutchmen combine their production talent and shared love of dance music: Dion as frontman and Zack behind the scenes. "Both of us have a clear vision of music and sound. Wildboyz is the perfect platform for us to practice what we preach," says Zack about his collaboration with Dion.
'Touching A Stranger' is the second single of Wildboyz. The catchy up-tempo track was written by Allan Eshuijs (famous for writing the Cascada hits 'Evacuate the Dancefloor' and 'Pyromania'), Robin Morssink (known for his work for Fedde Le Grand and Ray & Anita) and Australian R&B singer/songwriter Paulini Curuenavulli. "When Dion and I first heard the song, we immediately knew it had great hit potential, so we decided to co-produce the track with Robin Morssink. Our goal was to give it that specific international signature Wildboyz sound," says Zack. "The first reactions are amazing. Many people even compare 'Touching A Stranger' to the hits of Rihanna and Kelly Rowland, which is incredible."
Wildboyz has been very successful with 'The Sound Of Missing You', a mesmerizing dance track featuring R&B singer Ameerah. It was a huge hit in the Benelux and other parts of Europe in 2009 and 2010. The track became Dance Smash on Dutch national dance radio and Grand Slam on Slam FM, the major dance radio station in The Netherlands. In addition, the song peaked at #3 in the US Dance Billboard Airplay charts, which is a fabulous feat for the dynamic Dutch duo. The creative and challenging video for the track has been viewed over 6,5 million times on YouTube.
Like its predecessor, 'Touching A Stranger' has all the ingredients to turn into a worldwide hit success. The signature Wildboyz sound is very popular, both in Europe and the US. Zack: "People seem to like our mix of urban pop and dance. But in the future, we'd like to use more electronic sounds to create a brand new trend." Dion and Zack take little baby steps in their career. Instead of releasing an album straightaway, they'd prefer to score hit after hit first. "What we aim for is that every single we release becomes a major international success. It would be marvellous if our very first album would be a Wildboyz 'best of'."
